SB 452 - Under current law, a person commits the offense of failure to appear if such person was released pending a hearing, trial, or other stage of a criminal matter and knowingly fails to appear before the court or judicial officer as required.

This act provides that no person shall be found guilty of failure to appear if the criminal matter solely involves one or more infractions that are moving violations, violations of municipal or county traffic ordinances, or violations of state vehicle laws.
