SB 700 - Currently, a collaborative practice arrangement must include how a physician and an advanced practice registered nurse will maintain geographic proximity. This act removes the geographic proximity requirement and provides that a collaborative arrangement agreement must include how a physician and APRN will maintain effective electronic communication.

The act specifies that under a collaborative practice arrangement a physician may review an APRN delivery of health care services through review of electronic medical records.

The act also states that all prior rules promulgated by the Board of Healing Arts and the Board of Nursing regulating collaborative practice, except those relating to prescriptive authority, are null and void.

This act is identical to HB 1481 (2014).
