SB 984 - By January 1, 2015, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education must employ a dyslexia specialist with a minimum of three years of field experience in screening, identifying, and treating dyslexia and related disorders in school districts. The dyslexia specialist will be responsible for the providing of professional development and serve as the primary source of information and support for school districts addressing the needs of students with dyslexia and related disorders.

By the 2015-2016 school year, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education must develop and maintain a dyslexia resource guide for school districts, public schools, and teachers.
