SB 827 - This act prohibits the use of corporal punishment and the use of spanking to discipline students in schools. Each school district's discipline policy must prohibit the use of corporal punishment and the use of spanking. (Section 160.261) This act also prohibits private schools from using corporal punishment or spanking to discipline a student. (Section 160.274) MICHAEL RUFF
