SB 541 - Currently, certain individuals may be eligible for a property tax credit. This tax credit is commonly referred to as the circuit breaker and is based on property taxes paid or rents paid. This act prohibits persons who first become an eligible claimant after January 1, 2014, from receiving a tax credit based on rents paid. MIKE HAMMANN
