HB 1655 Exempts motorcyclists age 21 and older from wearing a helmet when operating a motorcycle or motortricycle and creates a special license plate for the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks

HCS/HB 1655 - This act specifies that any person that pays an annual $25 emblem-use contribution to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks may apply for a specialized license plate bearing the emblem of the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. The Director of Revenue must be in receipt of list of at least two hundred potential applicants who plan to purchase the specialty plate prior to developing the specialized plate and shall not authorize the manufacture of the specialized plates until receiving at least two hundred applications for the specialized license plate.

This act also limits the requirement that every person operating or riding as a passenger on a motorcycle or motortricycle on any state highway must wear protective headgear while in motion to only those persons under the age of 21.
