HCS/HB 2271 - This act establishes a method for advance voting.

The act establishes an advance voting period for elections for federal and statewide offices beginning on the 3rd Saturday immediately preceding the election and ending on the Tuesday immediately preceding the election, excluding Sundays. Voting shall occur between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the weekdays and for a 4 hour period between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays. One advance voting site shall be established in each county in the state or at least one site for every 100,000 people throughout such county.

Election authorities shall give public notice identifying the times and places for such voting.

The state's general revenue fund shall pay for costs incurred in the implementation of such voting.
