Current Bill Summary

SJR 53 – Upon voter approval, the proposed constitutional amendment would require the legislative session to end in late March rather than the middle of May. The veto session is moved from September to June. These changes to the legislative process would begin with the 99th General Assembly, which starts in 2017.

This resolution is identical to SJR 5 (2013) and similar to SJR 29 (2012) and SJR 38 (2010).
