SB 747 - This act provides that sheriffs in non-charter counties must receive a 15 percent pay raise on January 1, 2017, a 10 percent raise on January 1, 2021, and a 5 percent raise at the beginning of each new term of office.

Under this act, the pay increases are to be paid out of a fund that includes money collected by the sheriff for serving court orders in civil cases and assisting with property sales.
