HB 401 Creates the Missouri Advisory Boards and Commissions Association

HCS/HB 401 - This act establishes the Missouri Advisory Boards and Commissions Association. The association will enable current and former members of advisory boards, commissions, and college and university governing boards to join together in a formal organization. The association must meet at least annually, determine association membership guidelines, develop bylaws, and issue annual reports. The General Assembly and the executive branch may request the association to issue other reports.

The association will provide a framework to enable former and current members of boards and commissions to share observations and insights, to study and discuss matters of statewide and regional importance, and to recommend further action as requested by the General Assembly and executive branch.

Membership is voluntary. Members do not receive compensation.
