SB 261 - Currently, an assignment by the State Tax Commission is deemed made when a scheduling order is issued. This act requires the State Tax Commission to assign a hearing officer within 60 days after an appeal is filed by a taxpayer.

This act is similar to a provision contained in CCS/SCS/HCS/HB 1035 (2013).
