SJR 33 - Under this proposed Senate Joint Resolution, the Highways and Transportation Commission is replaced by a Director of Transportation. The director is appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The present members of the commission will serve until a director is appointed and confirmed. This resolution is similar to SJR 5 (2011) and HJR 55 (2010). STEPHEN WITTE
