HB 1630 Changes the laws regarding the composition of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission

HB 1630 - This act provides that only one person may be appointed to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission from the same congressional district. The act further provides that an appointee must be a citizen of the United States. In the event a member of the commission is found, by a unanimous vote of the other commissioners, to have moved out of the district from which he or she was appointed, his or her office will be forfeited and considered vacant. The act specifies that a commissioner may complete his or her term if the composition or configuration of his or her congressional district changes during the commissioner's term.
