HCS/HB 548 - This act allows state employees to retain 80 hours of compensatory leave time at any time during the year.

State employees who work 10 hour days and 40 hours per week shall not be required to take 2 hours of vacation leave for paid holidays. Such an employee shall have the option to receive 8 hours of compensatory leave for working on a paid holiday.

The state shall be required to provide employees at least 15 days notice for a mass layoff of state employees. In the case of a mass layoff of at least 50 state employees in a single county, the office of administration shall notify the county commissioner of the county and the mayor of the largest city in the county at least 15 days in advance of the layoff.
