HCS/HB 70 - This act changes the compensation for members of the county highway commission who are not also members of the county's governing body from $15 per day for the first meeting of each month and $5 for each additional meeting during the month to

an amount per meeting not to exceed $100 as established by the county's governing body. The mileage allowance for members of the county highway commission is also changed from eight cents per mile actually and necessarily traveled in the performance of their duties to the same amount per mile received by the members of the county's governing body. Under the terms of the act, a member of the commission who is also a member of the county's governing body will not receive any compensation or mileage allowance for his or her service to the commission.
