Current Bill Summary

SB 11 - This act requires the Commissioner of the Office of Administration to cause a disparity study to be conducted to measure the participation of minority business enterprises and women business enterprises in contracts for supplies, services, and contracts with the state. The study shall be completed by December 31, 2012, and delivered to the newly created Minority Business Enterprise and Women's Business Enterprise Oversight Review Committee by that time.

The committee shall review the results of the disparity study and make recommendations to the Office of Equal Opportunity by March 31, 2013 to be implemented by the office.

The provisions of the act shall expire on January 1, 2014.

This act is similar to HB 1484 (2009), SB 1066 (2010), HB 809 (2011), and SB 47 (2011).
