SCS/SB 166 - This act imposes additional requirements for obtaining and maintaining a title insurance license. Under current law, it is unlawful for a title agencies or title agents to transact title insurance business unless they are licensed under Missouri law. As a condition of licensing, this act requires title agencies and title agents to maintain a physical place of business within Missouri substantially devoted to the conduct of the title insurance business, or in the case of title agents, be employed by title insurers licensed in Missouri.STEPHEN WITTE
