Sen. Lager welcomed a group of Chillicothe students to the Senate Chamber this week as part of Missouri Service Day at the Capitol.
Union Star’s Sixth Grade class was at the Capitol this week to receive their Inspire by Example Student Service-Learning Award. Students visited with Sen. Lager about the workings of the Legislature and were presented with a Senate Resolution to commemorate their impressive community service work.

Sen. Lager welcomed Maryville’s Fourth Grade class to Jefferson City this week. Approximately 100 students, teachers, and parents made the trip. Sen. Lager and Rep. Thomson met the group for a picture on the Capitol’s south steps and Lager was visited by Roger Woods and four of the students atop the dais in the Senate Chamber.

Sen. Lager welcomed students from across northwest Missouri for this year’s Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Day in Jefferson City. During their visit, students toured the Capitol and were introduced by Lager on the Floor of the Senate Chamber. Farm Bureau sponsors this annual event as a way for youth farm leaders to meet with legislators and learn more about the workings of state government.

These NWMSU ambassadors traveled to Jefferson City with University President Dr. John Jasinski to meet with legislators and advocate on behalf of the university and its students.
