SB 523 - This act establishes advance voting for seven days prior to an election at the office of each election authority. Voters who do not provide photo identification at the polls shall have a photograph taken of them which shall be affixed to a signed affidavit averring that the voter is the individual listed in the precinct register. All costs relating to administering the section requiring photos to be taken at the polls shall be paid by the state. This act is similar to SB 859 (2006), SB 37 (2007), SB 1251 (2008), and SB 21 (2009). CHRIS HOGERTY
