HCS/HB 294 - This act requires a courts to adopt a local court rule providing for the centralized filing of cases where a landlords sues a tenant for unpaid rent and possession of the premises. The courts are also required to record these cases and schedule the case to be heard no later than thirty day after the date of filing.

This act is similar to a provision in HCS/SB 262 (2009).
