HCS/SCS/SB 176 - This act establishes in the Department of Health and Senior Services an Alzheimer's State Plan Task Force. The list of the eighteen task force members are specified in the act. The duties of the task force include assessing the current and future impact of Alzheimer's disease and related dementia on residents of the state, examine the existing services and resources for persons with dementia, their families, and caregivers, and develop recommendations to respond to the escalating public health situation regarding Alzheimer's disease. The task force shall submit a report of its findings and date-specific recommendations to the general assembly and the governor in the form of a state Alzheimer's plan no later than November 15, 2010.

The provisions of this act shall expire on November 1, 2012.

This act is substantially similar to HCS/HB 272 (2009).
