HB 698 - Under current law, required statements must be posted in bold letters on certain donation receptacles regarding how the proceeds of the donations will be used. This act adds criteria for what constitutes a "bold letter." When more than 100 receptacles have been distributed by an organization before June 1, 2009, and at least a portion of the proceeds are given to a non-profit organization, the act provides a 6-month exemption from the signage requirements provided the organization is making a good-faith attempt to bring the receptacles into compliance.ERIKA JAQUES
