Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 918 - Under this act, the MO HealthNet program shall not require a pharmacy, when filling a prescription that has been prescribed for the treatment as an immunosuppresant that denotes that the drug is from a specific manufacturer, be it generic or name brand, to interchange the drug for any other from another manufacturer other than the one specified in the prescription, unless the MO HealthNet participant is notified of the interchange, in writing or verbally, upon the delivery of the prescription. If such drug is interchanged with notice to the participant, the pharmacy that fills such prescription shall notify the prescribing health care professional before delivery of the prescription. The requirement under this act shall not apply to prescriptions dispensed for inpatients of a hospital, nursing home, assisted living facility, or inpatients of a mental health or residential facility.
