SB 686 - This act expands the crime of resisting arrest, detention, or stop to include a person using or threatening to use violence against a law enforcement officer to resist the issuance of any warrant issued for failure to appear in court. This crime is a Class D felony if a substantial risk of serious physical injury or death is created; otherwise, it is a Class A misdemeanor. SUSAN HENDERSON MOORE
