SB 650 - This act prohibits the creation of a website domain or the transmission of e-mail that falsely represents itself as associated with a legitimate online business for the purpose of soliciting identification information from any person. A knowing violation of this provision is a Class C misdemeanor. The Attorney General and certain violated parties may bring action to enjoin further violations and to recover actual damages or $10,000 per violation. ERIKA JAQUES
