HB 987 - This act modifies the requirements for the licensing of real estate appraisers.

A provision allowing the real estate appraisers commission to waive continuing education requirements for retired or disabled licensees is repealed.

The commission is granted subpoena authority in proceedings against licensees.

The act allows the licensee two years instead of 1 to renew an expired license. Inactive licenses are authorized.

This act is similar to SB 526 (2007).
