HCR 20 Urges Congress to repeal the federal REAL ID Act

HCR 20 - Under the terms of this resolution, the General Assembly refuses to implement the federal REAL ID Act.

The resolution further provides that the General Assembly prohibits the State of Missouri from participating in the implementation of the REAL ID Act. The resolution directs the Department of Revenue to refuse implementation of the REAL ID Act and report to the Governor any attempt by federal agencies to secure implementation of the REAL ID Act through the Department of Revenue.

The resolution contains a presentment clause which requires the resolution to be sent to the Governor for his approval or rejection.

This resolution is similar to SCR 11 (2007)
