HCS/SB 977 - This act authorizes the director of the POST Commission to promulgate rules and regulations. Currently, all persons employed as a telecommunicator is required to complete continuing education. Under this act, such person shall complete 24 hours of ongoing training every three years, rather than 16 hours of training every two years. The reporting period for the training shall run concurrent with the existing continuing education reporting periods for Missouri peace officers. SUSAN HENDERSON MOORE
