SB 1148 - This act modifies provisions regarding the transition period for a newly elected statewide officials. Currently, the transition period begins on November 15th. This act changes that date to the first day following the election. Any expenses incurred during the transition period may be paid after the actual end of the transition period. The Commissioner of Administration must request separate funding to cover the estimated costs of setting up the transition facilities so they are operational the day after the election.
