SB 1132 - This act provides that a "public entity", for purposes of determining immunity from tort liability, shall include any not-for-profit organization that provides or contracts for ambulance services under authority granted to it by a city, county, town, or village, as long as the governing body of such consists of elected officials or individuals appointed by the mayor, board of alderman, city council, county commission, or county legislature. This act is identical to HB 1353 (2006).
