AN ACT

To amend chapter 115, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to convicted criminals seeking public office.


 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 115, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 115.348, to read as follows:

            115.348. No person shall qualify as a candidate for elective public office in the state of Missouri who has been convicted of or pled guilty to a felony or misdemeanor under the federal laws of the United States of America.
