AN ACT

To amend chapters 21, 172, and 174, RSMo, by adding thereto three new sections relating to employment practices of certain higher education institutions.


 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapters 21, 172, and 174, RSMo, are amended by adding thereto three new sections, to be known as sections 21.436, 172.075, and 174.025, to read as follows:

            21.436. No member of the general assembly shall be employed in any capacity by any higher education institution listed in section 174.020, RSMo, or by the University of Missouri system for a period of four years after such member's last term of office as a member of the general assembly has expired.

            172.075. No person who has served as a voting member on the board of curators of the University of Missouri shall for a period of four years after such person's last term of service be employed by the university in any capacity, nor shall such person be compensated monetarily by the university for any reason not related to service on the board.

            174.025. No person who has served as a voting member on a governing board of any of the higher education institutions listed in section 174.020 shall for a period of four years after such person's last term of service be employed by the institution for which the person served, nor shall such person be compensated monetarily by the institution for any reason not related to service on the board.
