AN ACT
To amend chapter 324, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to licensing of excursion gambling boats and slot machines.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 324, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 324.900, to read as follows:
324.900. 1. As used in this section, the following terms mean:
(1) "Commission", the Missouri gaming commission;
(2) "Excursion gambling boat", a boat, ferry, or other floating facility licensed by the commission on which gambling games are allowed.
2. All slot machines on excursion gambling boats shall be individually licensed by the commission.
3. Not withstanding the provisions of section 313.812, RSMo, the total number of excursion gambling boats licensed to utilize slot machines shall be eleven. In the event eleven such licenses have been issued and are current and a current excursion gambling boat license expires, the commission may renew such license or may issue a new license to a suitable applicant. In the event eleven such licenses have been issued and are current and a current excursion gambling boat license to utilize slot machines is forfeited by the licensee or is revoked by the board or commission, the commission may thereafter issue a new license to a suitable applicant. The commission shall not issue any excursion gambling boat licenses to utilize slot machines in the event eleven such licenses have been issued and no such licenses have yet expired, or been forfeited or revoked.
