SB 135 - This act lengthens the time (from one month to six months) a property has to be unoccupied before a person can petition to have a property declared abandoned. The act also applies certain civil procedures to abandoned property petitions filed which currently only apply to Kansas City to all home rule cities. STEPHEN WITTE
