HCS/HB 119 - This act provides that state employees and members of state retirement systems who are or become members of the United States Armed Forces or the national guard and are called to military service in times of active armed warfare shall be entitled to life insurance benefits for the entire duration of the deployment, including time periods in excess of twelve months. The ability to retain the benefits shall be subject to the terms and conditions of any life insurance policy in place. The employees or retiree shall be required to pay for the cost of the coverage. This act contains an emergency clause. ADRIANE CROUSE
