SB 971 - The act limits the location of the counties where an individual can be prosecuted for identity theft.

This act changes identity theft from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class D felony.

This act contains certain provisions similar to those in SCS/HB 916 that was truly agreed to and finally passed.
