SB 1221 - This act authorizes the Health and Educational Facilities Authority to issue bonds in the amount of $190,440,000. The revenue derived from such bonds shall be used for the construction and renovation of life sciences and economic development infrastructure on the several campuses of the University of Missouri, as such projects are delineated in the act.

Further, the act authorizes the curators of the University of Missouri to enter into a long-term ground lease for the purpose of the construction of a hotel/convention center on property owned by the University. The act additionally expresses that the proceeds from such ground lease shall be utilized in order to construct a Performing Arts Center on such property.

The bond issuance component of the act is similar to SB 1227.
