AN ACT
To amend chapter 538, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to suits against health care providers who provide medical evaluations.
Section A. Chapter 538, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 538.229, to read as follows:
538.229. An action for damages for personal injury or death shall not be maintained pursuant to sections 538.205 to 538.230 or chapter 537, RSMo, against a health care provider who is only providing a medical evaluation or screening at no cost for rendering or failing to render health care services.
