AN ACT
To amend chapter 210, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to employment history for health care, child care, and elder care providers.
Section A. Chapter 210, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 210.940, to read as follows:
210.940. 1. Any entity providing child care services, health care services, or elder care services shall submit the employment history of all licensed and unlicensed personnel to any not-for-profit or private company or business that has the capability to track and access through an acceptable database various criminal background checks conducted by the state highway patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, employee disqualification lists compiled by the department of mental health, department of social services, and the department of health and senior services, and the Family Care Safety Registry established pursuant to section 210.903, RSMo.
2. The department of mental health, the department of social services, and the department of health and senior services shall have joint rule-making authority to promulgate the provisions of this section.
