Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 810 - This act amends existing law providing immunity from civil liability for certain landowners and injuries occurring therein.

This act tightens the language involving the definition of "trail" namely, by whom and how such land is purchased and used - this act expands the ability for political subdivisions to acquire or dedicate land for public use.

The changes made to this substitute involved adding language to the definition of "trail" to mean any land which was acquired or utilized by the state for use as a public hiking, biking or recreation trail.

This act is similar to SB 405 (2003).
