Amanda Daggs Joins Staff Of State Senator John Cauthorn

Jefferson City, MO - Sen. John Cauthorn, R-Mexico, today welcomed the addition of Amanda Daggs as a legislative intern for the 2003 Regular Session of the Missouri General Assembly.

Daggs is currently a junior majoring in Animal Sciences at the University of Missouri - Columbia.

"I look forward to utilizing this opportunity to learn the legislative process, as well as to work with constituents of the 18th District to help address issues that are important to them," Daggs notes.

Agriculture is a key interest for Daggs who was raised on her family's cattle and row crop farm near Ewing, a community in Missouri's Lewis County.

" Farm families like mine are continuously effected by the actions of the state legislature," Daggs said. "As a young person it is important for me to completely understand how legislation effects agriculture so that I can be a proactive and effective agriculturalist in the future."
