AN ACT
To amend chapter 307, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to air bags, with penalty provisions.
Section A.Chapter 307, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 307.156, to read as follows:
307.156.Any person who knowingly installs or reinstalls any object in lieu of an air bag that was designed in accordance with federal safety regulations for the make, model, and year of vehicle, as part of a vehicle inflatable restraint system, is guilty of a class D felony punishable by the fine of five thousand dollars per offense, or by confinement in jail for one year, or by both that fine and confinement.
