AN ACT
To authorize the governor to convey a tract of land owned by the state in the county of Pettis to the E.W. Thompson State School.
Section 1.1.The governor is hereby authorized and empowered to sell, transfer, grant, and convey all interest in fee simple absolute in a tract of land owned by the state in the county of Pettis to the E.W. Thompson State School.The property to be conveyed is more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE NORTH LINE OF MISSOURI STATE ROUTE "Y", 500.0 FEET WEST OF THE WEST LINE OF THOMPSON BOULEVARD, IN THE CITY OF SEDALIA, MISSOURI; THENCE IN A WESTERLY DIRECTON ALONG SAID NORTH LINE, 95.0 FEET, TO A POINT 747.82 FEET EAST OF THE EAST LINE OF TRACT "A" THOMPSON HILLS WEST ADDITION, A SUBDIVISION IN PETTIS COUNTY, MISSOURI; THENCE NORTH PARALLEL WITH THE WEST LINE OF SAID THOMPSON BOULEVARD, 420.70 FEET; THENCE IN A NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION, 633.92 FEET TO THE WEST LINE OF SAID THOMPSON BOULEVARD AT A POINT 680 FEET NORTH OF THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID THOMPSON BOULEVARD, 39.5 FEET TO THE CENTERLINE OF AN EXISTING DRAINAGE DITCH RUNNING IN A GENERALLY SOUTHWESTERLY DIRECTION; THENCE FOLLOWING THE CENTERLINE OF SAID DRAINAGE DITCH IN A SOUTHWESTERLY DIRECTION, 840.0 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.EXCEPT THAT PART USED FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSES.BEING A PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 6, IN TOWNSHIP 45 NORTH, OF RANGE 21 WEST OF THE FIFTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN PETTIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, CONTAINING 2.4 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.2.The department of elementary and secondary education shall set the terms and conditions for the sale of the property, as the department deems reasonable.
3.The attorney general shall approve as to form the instrument of conveyance.
