AN ACT

To amend chapter 190, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to critical care ground ambulance service.


Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 190, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 190.121, to read as follows:

190.121. A licensed ground ambulance service located in a city not within a county which staffs an ambulance beyond the minimum requirements of a specialty care transportation service may transport patients from a licensed hospital or a hospital defined in section 197.020, RSMo, within a one-hundred-thirty mile radius of the address listed on the ground ambulance service's ambulance license, to a licensed hospital within their ambulance service area. However, in no event shall such transport be authorized if it is specifically prohibited by local ordinance duly enacted by the authorized provider of ambulance service which is providing said service in the ambulance service area where the sending hospital is located.
