SB 647 - This act requires the State Board of Education, in consultation with the Department of Health and the Department of Agriculture, to promulgate rules regarding model school district healthy dietary guidelines.
School districts may adopt the guidelines as part of a
program to promote awareness of healthy lifestyle choices. The
guidelines shall be based upon documented scientific and medical
research concerning healthy diet choices and shall, to the extent
consistent with such research, consider options for including
agricultural products produced in Missouri.
