AN ACT

To repeal section 302.160, RSMo, relating to drivers' licenses, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the same subject.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Section 302.160, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 302.160, to read as follows:

302.160. 1. When the director of revenue receives notice of a conviction in another state or from a federal court, which, if committed in this state, would result in the assessment of points, the director is authorized to assess the points and suspend or revoke the operating privilege when the accumulated points so require as provided in section 302.304.

2. If an individual's driving privileges are suspended or revoked due to a conviction in another state, and that individual serves the suspension or revocation period, or a portion thereof, within that state, the individual may provide evidence of such fact to the director. Upon presentation of such evidence, the director shall credit the individual for the period served before assessing any penalty pursuant to subsection 1 of this section.
