SB 1278 - This act provides that first degree and second degree arson, which typically are Class B and Class C felonies, respectively, shall be a Class A felonies if the arson occurs to a church or other place of worship and was motivated because of the race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation or disability of the victims.

This act is similar to HB 1058.
