HB 1850 - This act provides that all money collected by a sheriff's department shall be paid into the county treasury and placed in a fund to be used only for the procurement of services and equipment to support the sheriff's department. This does not apply to budget allocations or land sale proceeds. Currently, the law provides that any money collected in excess of $50,000 shall be place in the general revenue fund of the county.
