HB 1850 | Allows all money collected by a sheriff's department to remain in a fund for use by the sheriff's department |
HB 1850 - This act provides that all money collected by a
sheriff's department shall be paid into the county treasury and
placed in a fund to be used only for the procurement of services
and equipment to support the sheriff's department. This does not
apply to budget allocations or land sale proceeds. Currently,
the law provides that any money collected in excess of $50,000
