Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 318 - This act expands Medicaid eligibility to 100 percent of the federal poverty level. Section 208.151, RSMo, currently lists those individuals who are eligible for medical assistance. New language is added to Section 208.151.1 (25) to provide that any person with an income level of up to 100 percent of the federal poverty level who is otherwise eligible under (25) will be eligible for medical assistance pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 1396a(r)(2).

This act is substantially similar to HB 329 (2001).
