SB 137 - This act creates the Class D felony of intimidation of an athletic coach, manager or sports official. A person intimidates a coach, manager or sports official by either committing assault in the third degree, as set out in Section 565.070, RSMo, against a coach, manager or sports official, or by threatening, in writing or by phone, to commit a felony against a coach, manager or sports official pursuant to Section 565.090, RSMo. In any case, the assault or threat must be motivated by the victim's status as a coach, manager or sports official.
